After feeding starving grad students we dropped onto I 79 for a quick ride to Charleston. Along the way we passed a long parade of police vehicles assembled for the funeral of a young West Virginia State Trooper. The procession lasted 15 minutes. Traffic in both directions was stopped.
We were attempting to reach Bowling Green Ky by nightfall but settled for Richmond Kt instead. We were able to find accommodations.
